Question Control volume by mousing and scrolling in Apple menu bar

There is an app I used for the longest time before I upgraded to Monterey called "Volume-Scroll.dmg" that allowed you to just mouse up to the Apple menu bar and then just scroll up/down to adjust the volume of what you're listening to. So simple, no extra clicking on the Sound icon etc.

It worked like a charm but it doesn't work on Monterey :-(((

Has anyone got an alternative that does the same thing?

What mouse are you working with? Looking through the interwebs, I noticed that Logitech gear tend to loose out on much functionality, or so I've been reading across reddit. Perhaps this could be a placeholder?

I've used BTT. I found it very difficult to master.

I did neglect to mention that "Volume-Scroll.dmg" was free.
I'm looking for a free solution.
