Controller support and bf3 question help !

i know battlefield 3 has in game controller support. but can you use the controller to select online games in multiplayer or do you need to use the mouse. HUGE pet peeve i hate having to use the mouse then jump back on the controller. its 2012 just make it full controller support! they really did a number on blackops for steam. only in game control and when u pause the game or start a new match yes you have to get up and use the mouse to select your weapons. noone wants semi controller support or the keyboard and mouse for that matter. gamepad is waaaay better. let this msg get out to the world so game developers start using there head. then pple wouldnt have to ask questions like mine about IF A VIDEO GAME WILL SUPPORT A CONTROLLER....

yes the game can be played with a controller only but you will have to map it as the onfoot controls arent mapped by default...

i know it can be played in game with a controller... i want to know if the controller will work in the menus
