Controlling Fans with Y splitter

Hello !
i'm going to build a mini-itx pc and just found out that i have more fans than the available fan hearders , i will be using a H105 ( 2 120mm fans + pump ) and the case fan . the mobo ( Z170I Pro Gaming ) has unfortunately only 3 Fans headers ( including the CPU fan ) .so i'm thinking about buying a PWM Y splitter . the problem with these is that it they have one 4 pin and one 3 pin headers . my question is this , when i change the RPM on the bios for the fan that is plugged on the 4 pin , will the fan on the 3 pin will be changed too ? i thought so since they're both connected to same header on the mobo . if not , what is the solution to control both fans ?

Both fans plugged into the splitter will receive the benefits of control from the motherboard. With the 4 pin, one pin is +, one is -, one reports speed, the last controls speed using a pulse to quickly start and stop the fan, that's the PWM part.

just to get this right , if i reduce for example the RPM for the 4 pin fan , the 3 pin fan RPM will also be reduced ?

The signal that generates the speed will be the same for both fans. Provided both fans are similar (different speed PWM fans have different % speeds, so a fan that's 800 - 1500 RPMs will spin at a different speed than a 1500 - 3000 RPM fan), the percent will be the same. Err, should be.
