Controlling poison

I want to get poison as close to a minimum of
1 second duration with maximum damage whats best
way to do this?.Its for using with Blade sentinel
because it can only hit once a second.

If I'm not mistaken, you have no reason to be close to 1 second to deal
your maximum damage with Blade Sentinel/Shield, you can perfectly use a
high duration (say, 16 seconds), what really matters is the damage per
second as the poison counter resets with each hit. It's very hard to
deal more poison damage than a potent venom, even if it lasts only
0.4seconds.

Or maybe I'm missing something?

Anyway, to get the best damage output with gear only, there's no
miracle: you'd need a death's web and a few dozens of charms... or
alternately, if you're short on those, use either a plague bearer, or a
venom runeword, or a blackbog's sharp, or a gargoyle's bite... and a
shieldful of rainbow facets.

Trang-Oul's Claws has +25% poison skill dmg. a nice bonus for a pair of
cheap gloves. Other stats is perhaps not useful but if you're looking for
max. poison dmg. try them.

I found Venom less effective or at least at lower levels
than source damage(charms etc)doing the same damage
even with PMH.I did try a realistic higher level of Venom
recently on single player(level 40,+50%PD)and it seems
more effective(other than for the obvious reasons).

I have another question for anyone concerning the 'Next
delay' for BS.If BS misses an enemy does it still have to
wait another second before that enemy can be hit again?
