Question Controls continue after no longer applied

Some what hard to explain and has only happened on 2 games titanfall 2 and now anthem for pc. I'll be playing and move I'll let go of control (w) for walking foward and it will continue to run for short period 2 - 5 seconds and not allow for any other inputs. Any help would be great

Wired mouse and keyboard the persistence of the action happens with other directional controls as well. When it's done doing the action it often then does other actions I put in while it was doing the action.
