Hello Tom's Hardware,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I recently purchased a case-fan pack with remote-control speed adjustment but now realized I made a mistake. Apparently my Acer Aspire XC "TC-885-ACCFLi5 - Model # TC-885" does not seem to properly fit 120mm fans and instead is designed for 92mm instead.
Since the pack of fans I bought seems to do everything I'd like it to: namely be extremely quiet and enable me to remote-control their speed I'd like to know the following before I cancel and/or cancel or exchange them.
Is there a way to convert these 120mm fans to use a mounting bracket made for 92mm. I've tried searching for a product like this but thanks to "Keyword Hell" I keep finding solutions for the other way around. I can find numerous conversion kits for converting and mounting 92mm fans into 120mm bit not the other way around.
Would anyone if you be kind enough to to link me to gizmo that can convert the other way around, so I can install my new 120mm fans+remote into my 92mm based motherboard and case chassis mounting brackets I'd be extremely happy to learn of their existence as well as where I should go in order to buy them.
Currently I have a these 120mm fans plus their speed control remote-control.
Can anyone help me out? I'd be very happy to learn about where I can get a 120mm to 92mm case fan conversion kit.
