convert 5 slot pc speaker for 4 pin mobo connector?

Got a salvaged speaker and want to add it to my mobo. Speaker has 5 pin connector but only 4 wires. Will it work with my mobo 4 pin connector if I move one wire over?

I assume I need to know which wire is ground and such to make sure it goes in ok. Speaker: Green, empty, blue, white, red wires.

Assuming your could wire it up correctly, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I'd question why you'd want this hassle (and minor risk) to do this though? A MB speaker is only a couple of dollars and ~$0.78/per if you buy in bulk.

I didn't think there would be risk. But from what I have been reading, things do have the potential to go sideways.
I also did not realize they were so cheap, so I'll just pick one up that plugs right in. Thanks for the advice.
