hello, im looking to make a vga to hdmi cable without any adapters, is there a way i can open both wires and make the wires touch to create a cable?

Solution
No. HDMI is digital and VGA is analog. Going from one to the other requires an active converter to convert the analog signal to a digital signal and vice versa.

well I have a monitor thats vga and a macbook pro, the lcd is starting to go on my mac so I wanted a cheap way of fixing this, I have a monitor, vga and am hdmi cable. I know I can buy an adapter but I want to create my own

As stated above, you can not use a simple cable. You need a converter. Something like

ok then heres another question, I have a thunderbolt to hdmi but need it to be to vga, I also have an old vga to an old thunderbolt that worked on a macbook pro 2007, can i split the old thunderbolt and split the new thunderbolt to hdmi and attach them? to create a NEW thunderbolt to vga adapter?

No, It would not work hdmi to thunderbolt to vga, since the output is hdmi.

ok
