I have 500 GB hard disk with 3 primary partition
C: 100 GB (Windows 10 installed)
D: 200 GB
E: 165 GB

What I want is to install ubuntu/fedora as dual boot. But I can install neither fedora nor ubuntu.
I tried using an unallocated space of 30 GB shrinked from drive D .

If I change the drive D to logical and shrink 30 GB from it, can it be possible to install ubuntu
And please provide the easiest method to create a partition for ubuntu so that I can get "install ubuntu alongside windows" .

there is a software easeus partition master which allows to change primary partition to logical.
