I got a virus recenlty that just gradually ate up all of the free space on my OS drive, so I formatted and reinstalled Windows 7 after trying every malware program I had on file.

After a successful install, I decided to clone my primary C: drive (with OS) onto an identical Samsung EVO 840 Pro using Acronis True Image 2017.

Solution
Acronis likes to trash the MBR when it does a clone (on both source and destination).

Run your Windows 7 installation media and do a repair and it should auto find it, otherwise you will need to use diskpart to rebuild the MBR.

FYI you can run win 7 on GPT partition which would be better.
