Question Converting a bootable USB back to a normal external storage media ?

So, I'm fixing my bricked PS3 by reinstalling OFW, But I need my USB in a normal state, so how do I reconvert it from a bootable USB, to a normal one?

What is being considered as "normal state"?

Just reformat the USB.

Be careful to target the USB drive and not some other working drive.

The only thing that turns a usb into bootable is that it has an active partition, if you go into windows diskpart and clean the disk it will wipe the active disk and make it non bootable.
As ralston already said, be very very careful what you select.
diskpart clean disk

Format it. There is no argues tasks to go though. Formatting a USB drive precludes you from ever recovering any old files. Is that is the what you call normal state?
