Converting a WD 1TB My Passport into a Internal Hard Drive

I am wanting to build my own Gaming PC and instead of buying a new hard drive i would like to use my WD 1TB My passport portable hard drive for it but, i cant seem to find out if its possible to convert it to one and if it did, what would be able to connect (what would be compatible) with it(I.E. Motherboard, CPU, ect)?
I would like to use a Intel I5 quad core for the CPU.

You will have to take it out of the enclosure but it is just a 2.5" sata laptop drive inside.

Its going to be very slow. Its a 2.5" 5400rpm sata hdd. These are fine for storage, for an OS you want atleast a 7200rpm drive.

... and the newer WD portable drives are USB 3 board, not SATA once you open them up...

Hey I tried to turn mine into an internal hard drive too, but like you said after I opened it up I saw it's not Sata but USB 3.. Does this mean that I cannot make it into an internal hard drive or what can I do to succeed here?

not unless you adapt it... then it will still just be a USB3 based drive.

Damn, what a waste. I bought this external HDD in hopes of eventually converting it into internal. Well, Thanks a lot for the help bro.
