Question Converting drive from exFAT to NTFS without losing data

As the title says, is there any way to do this preferably without installing any third party software. Can backup if need be but the drive is 4 TB so I'd rather not.

Any series of steps that someone might give you, or you might randomly find on the utubes...
If it does not start with "Make a full back up first"...should be ignored.

I can't see how you could convert between the two file systems in situ. AISI, you would need to backup your data to another drive, then reformat your source drive as NTFS and restore your data from the backup.
