Converting to 4k alignment

Hi,
One of my hard drives wasnt aligned in 4k or something along those lines, all my other drives are good when i checked with easus partition master.. i opted to change to 4k but it needed a longer time than i expected, what will. happen if i cancel the process of 4m alignment.. will there be any data loss.
