Hello and thank you to whoever takes the time to reply and troubleshoot my issue.

I recently bought a Gigabyte x570 Gaming X motherboard (https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813145161?Item=N82E16813145161 ) and planned on using a total of 3 Cool Master ARGB case fans (1x https://www.newegg.com/cooler-master-r4-120r-20pc-r1-case-fan/p/1YF-0010-000K6?Item=9SIAE307ZN6975 , 2xhttps://www.newegg.com/cooler-maste...si-mysti/p/1YF-0010-000K7?Item=9SIAE307ZN6981) connected directly to the Addressable RGB headers on the mobo. Power is given to them via fan headers on the mobo and spin just fine but i get no lighting of the RGB lights even tho ive made sure that everything is being plugged into the proper ports. The 3 way splitter i got to hook up the 3 fans to one header on the mobo had two female connections. One of them a typical 3-pin connection that plugs into my mobos header an the other is a odd three pin female connection (https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/cdn.coolermaster.com//1004/argb1to3sc_g3-zoom.png ) all equaly spaced and had a "Gigabyte" tag on it but I don't see a single connection on my montherboard for this at all. I've no idea why this isnt working after hours of forum searching and have no clue how to go about fixing aside buying new and different fans. (i heard corsair is nice for ARGB fans) Any insight would be helpful.

Well, admittedly I have very limited knowledge surrounding RGB on computers since I always settled for static red lighting myself. That said, this sounds very much like a software issue. Go to Gigabyte's website and download any and all software utilities and drivers, make sure your chipset drivers are installed. Its possible that the OS just doesn't realize that there is an RGB controller on-board.

Thank you for the reply, Ive gotten all the drivers needed for my motherboard including the RGB Fusion software that is currently controlling my CPU, GPU, RAM, 3 front fans, and 2 RGB strips just fine. The CPU portion is plugged into a USB port on the MB, The RAM obviously in its socket, and the 3 fans onto one 4-pin header on the MB, and the 2 strips into another 4-pin header on the MB. I've yet to get anything out of the motherboards 3-pin headers tho, but thats cause these fans are the only ones that need a 3-pin header in my system. I will double check all of this tho. I also tried to use a cool master RGB controller for these fans but that didnt work either, tho i have not hooked it up to my PSU directly as the fans are already powered via a fan header on the MB.

So you have a mixture of ARGB lights in those fans connected to a mobo ARGB header using the correct ARGB Splitter, plus some plain RGB light strips connected to a plain RGB header. The plain RGB lights are working, but not the ARGB ones.

I suggest you call Tech Support at Gigabyte and ask whether their RGB Fusion software tool can deal with this mixture of two types of RGB lights. It may be able to handle only one type.

By the way, that odd female 3-hole connector on the Splitter is for use when your mobo has a mating male 3-pin connector for ARGB lights. That connector pattern is not widely used, but was used by some mobos.
