[SOLVED] Cool off HHD

Continue to get warning that the HHD ( 8 TB IronWolf) is too hot.
using HHD Regenerator which posts warnings.

How do you recommend I cool off my HHD. It is in a separate bay slot

Well sounds like you don’t have enough case ventilation and perhaps you can attach a fan to it if it’s in a drive cage

Check the drive with Seagate (free) tools.
Don't trust a single 3rd party program. Always try to gather corroborating info. If Seagate software says that it's getting too hot then yeah, do what @86zx recommends.

Did you get this drive new/used? Other than the temp warning is it performing okay?
