Hello,
I have a cooler master hyper 212+ from my old build with a silverstone air penetrator fan on it, i would like to know if i can use it to cool my new cpu which is the 4770k with little overclocking.
Also if i need to change, suggest me some cheap but better cooler that i can buy.
My case is the silverstone RL01 mid tower

thanks in advance

I'm using NH-D14 and stable at 4.5ghz @ 1.24v as far as I've read NH-D14 and Hyper 212 are pretty have the same cooling capabilities.

NH-D14 is more expensive because of default 2 Fans that it comes with which you can salvage if you change to water cooling.

Play with Adaptive Voltage after you've got your manual overclock stable, I just got mine to work after playing with it. Idle...

The Hyper 212 is a really good cooler. You'll be able to get pretty decent overclocks with it. The rule of thumb here is that you'll be able to get 4.2Ghz at least and anywhere from 4.4GHz to 4.6Ghz if you're lucky
