I just got my hyper 212 evo in the mail today and some the tips looked smashed on the top, will this in any way damage the fan and its performance?

I assume you are referring to the aluminium plates, and yeah...they cannot damage the cooling very much unless it affects the fan mounting.

You can try to bend them back into place, or try to RMA the cooler. There must be some sort of transit insurance proved by whoever you purchased it from.

No the aluminum part is fine I'm talking about 8 copper tips on the top. Four of them are smashed

It may effec your cooling a little. I would recommend trying to get it replaced. As I mentioned earlier, most shipping can be replaced if the product is damaged. If not by the retailer, then contact Cooler Master and try for an RMA.

No, the copper tips appear smashed as a factory fit. Dont knw the reason behind this though.
