Cooler Master CoolVivaZ1 and the HD5850

So my old HD5850s are doing well - but they are the loudest components in my new case, mostly due to the stock cooling.

I'd like to go passive with something like the Cooler Master CoolVivaZ1.

However.

I understand that the VRMs on the 5000 series run very hot, and I'm concerned that a passive cooler that doesn't specially cover the VRMs wouldn't be up to the task. What do you think?
