Cooler Master Elite 431 Plus Case (Is it necessary to cover the holes for uninstalled top fan?)

There's room for two 120 mm fans on the top of my case. If I just install one top fan, do I need to cover the other one (the empty holes) with scotch tape or something? I am afraid that the dust will go in easily if the holes are not covered.

You can but don't have to unless you want to have positive pressure in the case. Than you would have to have much more intake air than exhaust. It's intake fans that introduce most dust, putting filters on them would help most.
