cooler master elite v2 550w psu how long does it last?

my friend have this power supply.
his spec are
i3 4160
b85m asus
8gb ddr3 ram
gtx 750ti
1tb hdd.
he wants to know how long does this powersupply last with the current specs he's having.

I wouldn't even use it to run integrated graphics. Those are horrible quality power supplies.

he just bought the powersupply a month ago. since not many high quality psu is available in this area. he's planning to order online the seasonic psu. when should he change his psu? since he's only using he's pc for school work and playing Dota2 and League of Legends in the mean time.

He should change it immediately. Junk PSU's can damage other components. I learned that lesson the hard way.

Yes Junk cheap PSU can take other hardware out with it, worst case it can cause a fire, I have no idea how some of these units can even pass code in some areas.

almost every computer shop in my area sell PSUs like Cooler Master, Aerocool and AVF. It's hard to find the good quality one here. gonna ask my friend to order online then.

Thats probably the best idea, you don't have to spend a whole lot on a good PSU, If you fine one your not sure about, just ask us.

Coolermaster does make good powersupplies as well, but they are one of them companies that make real good products, but then make real bad products or just flat out cheap out to make that extra buck. So if you find what you think might be decent from Coolermaster, feel free to ask, thats why we are here.

You should be fine to use the PC in the mean time, it dose have 40+ amps combined on the 12v rails and your system might peak at 20amps if that, but its only equivalent of a 380watt PSU at best so your gonna be cutting it close to fully loading the PSU. I'd still replace it soon though.
