Hello! I have an amd fx 8320 cooled by the CM evo hyper 212 CPU cooler with one fan (stock CM fan), I happen to have an extra 120mm fan which I earlier bought to use as a case fan, now that the evo can be setup in push-pull setup, I'm thinking of attaching this fan "Deepcool UF 120" into my evo 212! Is it necessary that the rpms of the fans should be same or any other restrictions of some sort? Also, at the top of the cooler, Some fins are slightly bent! (right when I bought it), is that something to be worried about? thanks! http://

Solution

No the EVO fan runs via mobo PWM control (depends on CPU temps and usage). If your system in idle your fan RPM will be slowed by mobo, but if you plug your additional fan onto second cpufan connector then both fans will work at the same speed
BTW you don't need to run your fan at full speed! you can see how i5 4670 runs without fan (it's Russian video just watch) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-X2W7gZXsCc

@ahmadjon, OK thanks! but the deepcool fan uf 120 runs @1500rpm max! does it mean that the speed of stock evo fan will be restricted to 1500? if yes, its actually decreasing performance isn't it? the stock evo fan runs @2000rpm and if that is decreases to 1500, it will not be as good ain't it?
