Cooler Master GX 750W II 80+ with Z77 extreme 4 Mobo

Hi ive had this problem for about a year now and only deciding to do something about it I have
Cooler Master GX 750W II and a Z77 Mobo that im using problem is the 20+ 4 pin connector wont connect into the mobo so im left running only the 20 pin. Im wanting to start overclocking and the guy and the IT store told me the 20pin wont be able to overclock with it ill need the 4pin as well is this right and can anyone shed light on my problem thx.

It's best to have the whole 24 pin inserted into the board.

He said that the 4 pin wont connect into the mobo which is why only 20 pin is connected which i find strange

It should connect that doesn't make sense , sometimes it's a tight fit . but should be plugged in.

When the guy was doing it he said the o connectors and D connectors were around the wrong way if that makes sense

Ok couple of things looks like all the pins are connected in the right spot and i have a cm 750w gx not 750w gx 2 is this still okay for over clocking? Also a reliable video on how to get me started over clocking if you have any?

I wouldn't overclock with it.

Other people have overclocked with it and found no dramas and I cant find any bad reviews on overclocking with it

Only one i can find not recommending it, just another 180$ to get a decent psu great.
