Cooler Master Gx550w vs cooler master 550w

can anyone tell me the difference between these two?
is there a significant advantage in buying a gx550w over a normal 550w psu?

there different quality. for a start. the gx has a lot move protection against powerspikes, has a more efficient (80+) transformer and 1 high amperage power rail.
the ordinary coolermaster psu has dual rails less efficient transformer (70%) and cant deliver as much continuous current.
