Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO fan removal

Hello,
I am currently cleaning my PC however I have not found a way of safely removing the fan on my Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler. Does anyone have any knowledge on how to do this so I can clean the tower?

The fan is clipped on with plastic retainer clips. Under normal circumstances you do not need to and should not remove the fan every time to clean with compressed air.

During assembly I used a small flat blade screwdriver to remove the fan and re-install it after the RAM was installed.

My system has been running for a year and a half. I clean once or twice a month using a can of compressed air.

Cans of compressed air - I buy mine from Sam's Club. Walmart also has it.
