If I want to overclock my i7 4770k, is the hyper 212 evo thermal paste sufficient?

Yeah, unless you're going for some super OC, then you should get a custom loop.

Yup, unless you're going for an extreme overclock, say 4.6 GHz or more, then that is a great cooler. I use it myself, and my CPU is hotter than yours, and while gaming if it touches 50C I consider that pretty hot, so it is a great cooler.

I know that it is old topic, but I am in similar situation and would like to ask you guys how did you apply the thermal paste ? A dot in the middle ?
