Hi everyone.

Can this cooler fit into my case with no issues?

Case: BitFenix Comrade
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
Ram: Corsair Vengence 2x4GB (with the high heatsinks)
CPU: AMD FX6300
GPU: Sapphire R9 270x vapor-x

I've tried to find answers in a lot of places, but I see many people having problems just to close the side panel after installing as the tip of the cooler can be an issue, and none was specific to this case and mobo. I really just need a 'hell yeah!' or 'hell no!' on this matter, but if this cooler is not an option, any recommendations would be great!

Thanks!

The max height the case allows is 160mm (http://www.maximumpc.com/bitfenix_rolls_out_comrade_enclosure_first_time_builders_budget2013) while the height of the CM Hyper 212x is 158mm (http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/hyper-212x/).

So, it's probably a yes.

Also, this: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2296189/cooler-compatibility-bitfenix-comrade.html

And before you correct me, yes that topic asks about a 212 EVO, but the 212x is 1mm shorter than a 212 EVO. So this improves your odds of being able to fit it in the case.

Perfect! Just what I needed to know!

Having said that, I just thought of another issue.

A lot of forums mention that the RAMs like mine (http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz8gx3m2a1600c9r) might actually touch the fan, so would it be all good if I replace that fan with a slim one (http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/case-fan/xtraflo-120-slim/) and move the other fan to the opposite side to do a push pull config?

I know I can sue slot 2 and 4 on the mobo, but it just makes me a little uncomfortable that the fan might be in the way for future upgrades. Maybe it's just me.
