Cooler Master Seidon 120M too loud

Hi guys,

Today I replaced my Intel stock cooler with a Cooler Master Seidon 120M. I knew that Seidon can be noisy from before as i heard it operating on a friends computer, but on my setup its too loud 🙁. The noise is constant from the powering on and constantly at cca 1480 RPM (although i thought max is 2400). I checked the set up twice, everything should be at it's place, the pins, right connectors and in BIOS fan controllers are on AUTO.

One other thing, with the stock cooler I had temperatures around 37, max at 40ish when playing games, however when i played today with Seidon temps were even higher (cca 50ish)...

Processor: Intel C2D E8400
MBO: Asus wifi p5ke - wifi

I would appreciate any kind of help or suggestions on how to solve this issue.

Might recheck install, make sure all is tight and snug - could replace fan to a quieter one for the noise issue

i sure am thinking about replacing the CM original fan, however that doesn't solve the issue, since i know for a fact that Seidon doesn't make that kind of loud noise + why is it operating constantly at 148 rpms :S

May be defective, take it and chack all is is snug and nothing there like debris that shouldn't be, i.e. somthing wrapped arounfd a fan spindle, etc

no it's not, it's not that kind of noise, just a regular too loud fan noise, as if it was working at 100% all the time

With high temps, it should be running at high RPMs!

Remove your water block, clean it, clean the CPU, and re-install the water block with fresh thermal paste. Something is not right!
