Is there anyway that you can remove the fan speed control dial and add a connector to the wires, so that it can be plugged into one of the motherboards fan connectors and operated via software, instead of having to reach behind the machine to adjust the fan speed?

Dear Voodoo917,

You are not able to do this with the stock V8 fan. You can replace it though with a 120mm PWM fan if you would like :)

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you for clearing that up for me!

I wanted to use a Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 120mm fan as a replacement to the stock fan, but from what I have seen in videos online, the V8 cover has clips on it that snap around the standard casing of a 120mm fan and the Silent Wings 2 is not the standard width of most 120mm fans around it's perimeter. Do you know if it is possible to mount one of these in a V8?

Hello Voodoo917,

I don't think you will be able to use the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 2 120mm due to its design. You can only use a standard 120mm box style fan that is 25mm thick.
