A couple quick Question?

I just purchased a cheap upgrade for my aging P4 3.0 system I am using now.

New Stuff: Old Comp.
Abit IP35-E Asus P4C800 Deluxe
Pentium Dual Core E2200 P4 3.0
2 Gigs Adata DDR2 PC6400 2 Gigs of PC2100
Nvidia 9600GT ATI x850 Pro

On my current system I have been using a Zalaman CNPS9500 cpu cooler and it works great. I was wondering if I should use the stock cooler that comes with the E2200 or if the CNPS9500 would work and be better. Also what is the difference between the CNPS9500 and the CNPS9500A. I am thinking the CNPS9500A is an updated version just wondering what was changed.

I will be overclocking in the future just not right off the bat.

Thanks in advance,

The Zalman 9500 should be tons better than the stock cooling. As for the difference of 9500A and 9500, there won't be any major difference. I'm probably wrong but the 9500A has LEDs while the 9500 doesn't.

According to Zalman website,
the CNPS9500A supports Core 2 Quad & Core 2 Extreme

& the CNPS9500 only supports up to Core 2 Duo

makes no sense to me, they look exactly the same,
I guess there is a difference though

you can get LED in both

the CNPS9700 only supports up to Core 2 Duo

I use the CNPS9500, & love it
It's very quiet
