Cooler temps.

Hi all,
I have provided for comparison and interest purposes the following temps showing on a Digidoc5 monitoring a T'bird 1.4g/epox 8k7a+ in a full atx case under desk. ok Im bragging .. But its no mean feat by any means BTW.

Room temp: 27.7C/82f measured at front of the case.
CPU temp: 35.3C/95.5f ~ max 40.8C/105.4f (MBM5)
Board temp: 31.3C/88.3f
Case temp: 26.9C/80.4f

Gforce2 temp: 33.9C/93f
HDD area temp: 32.5C/90.5f
DDR dimms: 28.2C/82.7f

The above temps can be lowered by having the fans running at a lower preset or forced on all the time, but its nice and peaceful with only some running when required.
I have 1x 8cm lo-flow fan blowing onto the Ziff socket area,1x 8cm side panel mounted hi-flow blowing onto the ram area, and one tiny fan cooling the digidoc and hdd mounted inside it. Still waiting for 2 more rpm sensing 8cm fans on backorder for case front and top rear.
Where is that person who said you cant have cooler case temp than the room temp! Ha, wait till I get the extra case fans..hehe

I can now hear that damn noisy Dragorb3 again, working on either buying the 4500rpm fan for it or some kind of speed adjustment..

Bring on the Vapochill.......

Medication helps

just do THIS - cpu temp 36C overclocked and 27C at standard speed.

Yeah I have checked that out, well done with that!

Hows it doing?
No divorce yet?

How big are the temp probes that come with the digidoc? I wouldnt mind being able to check the temp if my gf2 chip and also the northbridge, but getting the temp probe against the chip may be a bit awkward, or are they small things?

Yeah hiya Calv,
You get two flat paper thin sensors which I have one taped next to my CPU core, reads slightly higher but for monitoring puposes its good to setup case fans with. The other I fixed right next to the Ziff socket on the board as I could not get it fixed on the Gf2 properly

6 others bulb sensors are supplied, they are small enough to slot inbetween cooling fins such as I have done on my Gf2mx.
The sensors are very sensitive to temperatures and can be used for surface, open air monitoring.

It is definatly worth it, believe me. Best part is having temps betwwen button and o/s starting. Especially if I am o/Cing'.
