I currently have my TX3 EVO fan facing down (ie. facing towards the PCI slots etc.) Is this a correct way of mounting it, bearing in mind I have an AMD system. At the moment, it seems to be working fine considering idle temps are around 30c, and when gaming its around 50c, but I wanted to know if it is indeed one of the "right" orientations for the fan.

Also, in its current position will it affect a GPU's cooling when I go to install one?

Yeah, you can only mount the cooler facing towards the pci slots or top of the case. Aftermarket coolers are supposed to vent out the exhaust fan at the rear of the case. The downside of the tx3 is the mounting hardware. With the fan facing the way you have it installed it will suck hot air from the gpu pcb and vent it towards the top of the case. It will not effect your gpu but will have a bit of an effect on case flow unless you have exhaust fans at the top of your case.

The Hyper 212 had mounts the correct way. I bought a tx3 and then replaced it with a 212 for the same reason. If it cools adequately though, no need to worry.
