I just changed my thermal paste and the CPU peaks at 83C when I am gaming.
I used arctic m4 (x pattern) I know that temperature is still safe but is it higher than the normal?
should I remount the cooler or it is fine?

CPU: ryzen 5 5600x
MB: B550 Aorus Elite v2
cooler: Antec c400

your thermal paste isn't the end-all of cooling.

if there is not sufficient cool air being supplied to the cooler and heated air being exhausted out of the area then the heat will continue to build over time and get hotter an hotter until throttling and/or crashing occurs.

this is a pretty inefficient cooler for anything above basic(web browsing, office work, etc) system use.

depends on what you consider "normal"?

anything over high 60s°C with heavy usage is higher than normal for me while running very intensive games.

That cooler is roughly as good as a hyper 212
and plenty for a 5600x
maybe considered the same tier as the old basic Hyper 212.

if it had a nicer dual fan setup with higher airflow fans,
but it's default setup would not be for a gaming system.
maybe it has bad contact with the CPU IHS or what do you recommend?
you haven't commented on other aspects of the system-wide cooling;
case, overall fan setup, GPU, room ambient temps, etc...

room temperature is 38C
GPU: 3060TI on idle is 49C and it peaks at 71C under load
MB and vram: are 55-60C while gaming
the case has 2 fans one is in the front to draw air into the case and the other is a rear fan

also when I turn Core Performance Boost off , the temperature for processor becomes much lower but GPU starts to get over 70C
