Question Cooling fans go crazy and wouldn't slow down after waking Windows up?

I plugged all 4 case fans(two 3-pin 12cms & two 4-pin 9cms) on a hub that connects to the only sysfan header on my new Gigabyte MB.
I set the power to be controlled by voltage in the BIOS because if I set it to PWM they all start roaring.

My grand design runs almost dead-silently, but if I put Windows into sleep and wake it up again, all the case fans go crazy (1250+ rpm) until I restart the machine.
Even with the Gigabyte control software they cannot be slowed down.
Googled it a bit it seems it does happen to Gigabyte MBs from time to time over the years and on very different MBs and no one had an answer.
I checked BIOS after restart and no setting was changed.

My guess is it's Windows that took control of the fans after waking up and maybe, just maybe it prioritizes PWM over voltage.
