Cooling for CPU

I just installed the i5 4690k and I'm running it around low 40's in Celsius, is this bad? I'm looking in to buy an aftermarket cooler, just not at the momoent, but I also don't want to harm my cpu. Thanks!

Low 40s during idle or full load?

The temps under full load are the most important. As long as it stays under 75C then you should be fine.

That's idle. I did a full load and the highest it got was mid 50's.
