Cooling for i7700k

Is a cryorig h7 universal enough to cool an i7700k? i will not be overclocking it, dont know how to and i dont want to break it.

Since you have the Z170 then 6700k is better choice. You could probably easily hit 4.5Ghz with the H7, but there is no H7 Universal, only the H5 Universal. I wouldn't be worried, the 6700k is a good chip. If you want higher end 4.XGHz then you'll need a dual fan cooler.

I have Z170 motherboard so getting 6700k would be easier anyway because then i wont have to update my bios.

On the page im going to order it from its called Cryorig H7 Universal. It might be because it fits almost all sockets.

 


On Cryorig's website they use "H7", but I have seen a review that says "H7 Universal". Cryorig uses the term "Universal" to show that the fan design is slimmer, like the R1 Universal and H5 Universal. But don't fret. All H7 models are the same, regardless of what name the site you buy it from says.
