I've recently built my own PC and I have a few questions. I'm not quite satisfied with how my Hyper Evo 212 is cooling my i7-4790. Whenever I use Pirme95 - for 15-20 minutes; the CPU hit's a max of 69 degrees. I know the max temp the CPU allowed is 72.7. But; I'm not happy with the temp. I would like to get it into the low-mid 60's if at all possible with this CPU. Any cooler suggestions to better fit this CPU, to get it to 50-60 degrees at max load?

Non-gaming: Temps idle at 30-38 degrees
Gaming(Playing GTA V; etc.): Temps are at 50 - 64 degrees (50ish% CPU Usage)

Case is NZXT M59 <-- Terrible case for big items. :p

My specifications:

CPU: i7-4790 3.6 GHZ - (4.0GHz @ Turbo)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SuperClocked ACX 2.0 4GB
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill RIpjaws Series X 16 GB(2x8) @ 1866 MHz
Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM 6.0Gb/s HDD
Case: NZXT M59
Fans: 2 120mm 59.1 CFM Fans

Solution
Going past the coolermaster 212 EVO will be a waste of money. if you really want lower temps, go for a AIO water cpu cooler. IMO, the cpu cooler is fine really and Prime95 stress test to an extreme situation that it is unlikely to happen in real world. Your CPU temps are already fine.

Solution
Your cooler is good.
85c. is about the point where you need to do something.
It takes 100c. for the cpu to slow down or shut off to protect itself.
No way are you going to get there.
Prime95 is not a good test. Try OCCT.
Idle should be 10-15c. over ambient.
