Hey guys so i got the biostar n68s3b amd phenom II barebones kit my gpu is a 9800gt and im curious the case supports 3 80mm case fans but if i only install 1 will i still be fine? The one fan is a masscool blue led 80mm case cooling fan, also will my 400w psu help?

Your PSU will help with the cooling a little bit, however usually it is a good idea to have a separate intake fan and outblowing fan in addition to the PSU.
Not exactly sure what kind a barebone case you have, but generally pull air from the front or bottom of the case and push it out of the back or the top.
That way most components get cooled by the airflow.

So for the longevity of the system, install 2 fans, it helps.

Let's answer each queation:

1. It's better to install at least two fans - installing only one that doesn't move that much air will not improve your thermal performance all that much. But if you really want to put that one, install it in the rear panel as an exhaust fan. Most people think air intake is more important than output but it's not true.

2. As your case is a barebone I think the PSU is mounted on the top. If so, the PSU fan will help a tiny bit into your cooling but not much. I still recommend installing two case fans at least.

You can, but I'd recommend reinstalling the OS (not formatting, just reinstalling the OS like a repair) right away to ensure everything will run fine.
