Cooling Ideas for this Build

Overview
Given the following build:

1 x Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor
1 x Kingston HyperX 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX24C11BRK2/16-OC)
1 x Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower Case - Black (CC-9011035-WW)
1 x Asus Z97-A Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
1 x Plextor M6e M.2 PCI-E 128GB Solid State Hard Drive (PX-G128M6e)
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW)

I wanted to ask for opinions on cooling. Specifically fan configuration and selection. From the outset I suspect I want to scrap all fans that come as stock for custom, likely from the Noctua range. I have heard unhappy noises regarding Corsair stock fans.

Current Assumptions/Planning
Regarding the H100i, the research I have already carried out seems to suggest that push pull configuration is somewhat inefficient/redundant these days. Instead it should be configured thus: Top of case => fans => rad = a pull configuration with the top acting as exhaust.

Among the reasons for this is ease of cleaning/dust build-up control and optimal pressure versus additional noise/power consumption from the extra layer of fans. Saying that, if there is any real world experience suggesting otherwise I will switch to a push pull configuration. Assuming the 750d can handle that of course.

The Noctua NF-F12 is what I was considering for placement on the H100i rad. For all other 140mm points in the case I was considering NF-A14s and NF-P12s for all 120mm points thus:

x4 NF-F12 (H100i if going push pull)
x3 NF-A14 (x2 Case front, x1 case rear)
x2 NF-P12 (Case bottom)

All will be PWM; the H100i will control it's set of 2 or 4 fans while all others will use the motherboard headers and be under software control. Presumably I should make use of Asus's touted PWM over splitter for fan groupings such as the front and bottom - or possibly let the software group them under a common profile (if that's possible).

My Questions
First of all, do my assumptions/planning seem reasonable?

Am I matching these fan models correctly as the size scales up? I based this off of this chart: http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=which_fan_is_right_for_me&lng=en

If I were to switch my case choice to a 650D then would it still be possible to mount the H100i in push pull?

What's the real world working opinion of anti vibration rubber fan mounts? I am correctly or incorrectly considering using them for case mounted fans.

You'd be short of fan headers on the mobo for so many fans. That mobo has.. CPU that is for the rad's fans(dunno how you will get 4 plugged in that, with an adapter only 2 are possible in one header), CPU opt that is for the waterblock pump and 4 other chassis fan headers.
 


The H100i can control 4 fans (2 splitters provided in the box intended for push pull configs).

 


Oh neat.
Rubber pads reduce the vibrations transmitted from the fan to the chassis, so less buzzing at higher rpm.
Changing to a mid tower case could be tricky because the fans attached to the radiator inside the case could compromise the clearance with the ram sticks.
While the overall air flow in your build will be good, you are spending more in fans than the price of the chassis..

Thanks. I think going for the industrial Noctua versions would be better. However, the cost is soon made ridiculous. over £400 just for fans. I have two of these builds to do, identical.
