I am building a PC currently, but I am worrying about cooling issues with my CPU. I am planning on buying the AMD FX-6300 (AM3+) socket, however I do not know how to cool this correctly. I have the CiT Vantage case, this has plenty of fans but I do not know whether I will need a specific CPU fan and/or thermal paste. Could you please tell me what would be a good choice. If I need a specific CPU fan, the budget is £20.
thanks

Probably not. Your stock cooler for your new CPU should come with some pre-applied. You might want to pick some up just incase you need to take the cooler of and reapply.

If you are planning on using your old cooler then yes get some thermal grease for it. Clean the old stuff off before you apply it. :)
My cost reference is in dollars, but these may work well for you and be within or very near your budget:

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Xigmatek Gaia
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

All 3 perform very well for the cost and will have no trouble cooling an FX 6300.

From personal experience I can tell you I've used the Hyper 212 EVO on an FX 6300 overclocked to 4.4GHz on near stock voltage and it kept it below 55c during an 8 hour 100% stress-test load.
