Hi all,

I am changing my graphics card and while I am at it I want to change the cooling fan of my cpu.

Dell studio xps 8000
Ram 12gb
Intel I7- 860 2.80ghz
Windows 7 64bit.
Power supply- max output 350w.

The cpu runs quite hot and with summer here I would like to change the fan for something more effective and less noisy. The one that dell installed sounds like a plane taking off when it is flat out.
I was looking on overclockers and there are so many to choose form, (water cooled, air-cooled etc) I am looking for something easy to install and that is effective. My budget is 50-80 euro.

Thanks for any help you can give me

Measure the space in your case I doubt the 212 will fit or any of the tall heatink coolers

You may need to look at stuff like this

http://www.cclonline.com/product/80587/CNPS8000B/CPU-Coolers/Zalman-CNPS8000B-Ultra-Quiet-Low-Profile-CPU-Cooler/CLR0429/

Not as effective as a tall one but as your not running any massive OC's more than adequate and alot quieter than any stock cooler
