Cooling NB, SB, etc for the Non Over-Clocker.....

Is it necessary to cool the SB and NB chips if I do not plan to overclock? I am going to build a system with the following:

ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel 975X
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz
Thermaltake Tsunami Case
etc.

No, you shouldn't need to provide additional cooling if you aren't going to overclock. Otherwise, the company would probably be sued or something for creating a known faulty product that they were trying to pawn off to consumers. I don't know much about the P5W though.

Good point....

Motherboard manufacturers would never create products which were half backed and not ready for sale...... sure. Never, ever happens.... :lol:
