Question Cooling:[ NH-D14 fan clips and 3090], [M.B: Asus H510-m]

Hi people,
I've recently upgraded my GPU to 3090, but NH-D14s' fan clips don't allow to completely horizontal installation of the GPU. What should I do? Should I change my m.b? Is the distance between center of CPU to first PCIE lane equal in every main board type( Atx, eAtx , micro Atx)?

What is the make/model of your motherboard?
Some motherboards place the first pcie x16 slot very close to the cpu.
Such distance is not a standard.
Noctua maintains a compatibility chart for motherboard clearance.

Looks like your cooler is a NH-D15.

If the gpu can not be mounted square, I would try to fix the issue.
The clips are quite strong and I doubt that the offending part of the clip can be bent enough to afford clearance.

Instead of a motherboard change, you could switch to the high compatibility NH-D15s which is offset for just such an issue.

No.

Some MoBos have PCI-E x1 slot as the 1st/upper slot, whereby PCI-E x16 slot is 2nd in line, giving ample room for CPU cooler.

E.g micro-ATX AsRock H510M-HVS;

Specs: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H510M-HVS/index.asp#Specification

Same chipset (H510), same size (micro-ATX), but different layout.
Thanks for your response: I found this so interesting , as you mentioned the distance between PICE slot and the end of ram slots in my m.b is equal, whereas for the Asrock there is enough space.
