i have a hafx case, running stock fans.
1 front 200mm 700rpm
2 top 200m 700 rpm
1 side 230mm 700 rpm
1 inside exhaust 1300 rpm
processor 965be + arctic freezer 7 rev pro 21 tpm
mobo - Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
idle temps 38c - full load around 52

question. need any advice on changing the
rear exhaust to a 1500 rpm fan, any tips appreciated

and if anyone has a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
can you tell me if anyone of these fit the 965be
and which would be the best, no oc done, running stock 3.4ghz
might go to 3.8 later but not yet needed.

not sure if i understood you.
what is your chasing? or atleast the size of your rear fan slot (im guessing that is where you want to add the fan?).

personally, i donot care about rpm, i would put more importance on static pressure. Noctua makes good ones

sorry i thought my question was a simple one wrote in plain english.
i described my setup - my mobo - my processor - gpu

i asked if any one used the mobo i do and which of the coolers
i suggested does anyone no if it fits my mobo.

then i asked can anyone recommend a replacement fan
for my exhaust which is currently a 1300 rpm standard hafx fan

heat sink size needs to be based on your chasing size. how large a cooler it can fit., etc. your mobo has no heatsink on its power modules so it will be fine with any cooler supporting AM3+.

as i said, we cannot recommend a fan based on rpm. you need to know the size i.e. 120 mm, 200 mm 80 mm? ! but to me static pressure is more imp than rpms

hehe..google is my friend: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4122#ov

thats a odd fan size. i donot know any good fan with high static pressure at that size. get a Noctua NF-A15 140mm fan. its has good flow rate.

like i said, i cannot say anything about cooler size unless you let me know what you use for chasing. but your mobo will fit any of those three coolers
