Cooling Sapphire Radeon HD7970s in Crossfire

Little bit of background:
My Setup:
Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX/Gen3 R2.0
PSU:
Grapics Card
Slot 1: Sapphire Radeon HD7970 Vapor-X 6GB
Slot 3: Sapphire Radeon HD7970 Vapor-X 6GB
So i have a bit of question.
While playing games my graphics card will jump from 58*c to 70*c

I get hardly an activity from the other card though.

I own the Rosewill Black-Hawk Ultra Case.
There are two 240mm Fans on the front that are providing air out, the front fans are bringing air in, the CPU Cooler and an extra 120mm fan are bringing air out, and the back fan is pushing air out.

I would really appreciate some assistance with finding a way to cool down my GPUs

It's not uncommon for the primary slot card to be hotter than the secondary one. It's also not uncommon for ati graphics cards to run around 70 C . If your worried about it you can manually adjust the fan to a higher percentage or invest in aftermarket cooling.

what could you suggest to me for an aftermarket cooler for my particular graphics cards? also do you happen to know of a way to decrease the foot print of said card?

Why are you wanting an after market cooler? Are you planning on overclocking your cards? If not, while you may get a slight temperature drop, you really dont gain anything. 70 degrees is nothing for an AMD 7*** Series cards. I run 2x 7950's in Crossfire. If I overclock both cards past a 7970ghz edition the top card will easily hit 80 and keep going just fine. Even using the default fan profile, the fans dont hit 100% until you're past 80. When I was installing my tv tuner I accidently jammed one of the fans on one of my cards. The next time I gamed the card hit 90 but kept going just fine. Your temps in the 70's are just fine and no danger to your cards at all.

Yes you are fine, unless you steadily hit above 85 degrees I wouldnt worry or change anything. As far as space between the cards, I run 2x 7950's in Crossfire, directly next to each card is a TV tuner (2 tv tuners, one next to each card), there is literally less than a centimeter of clearance between my tv tuner cards and the video cards. One was so close that it actually stopped one of the fans on my video card (thats when I saw my card hit 90 but kept going fine). I had to use a zip tie wrapped around the coax cable going into the tv card and the HDMI plug on the video card to flex the tv tuner an extra centimeter to clear the fan on the video card.
