To be straight up and honest, I lacked to do any research before building a my most recent rig.
I decided to pick up a corsair h60i cooler for my cpu without knowing how well the nf-d14 performed. So now i have both (d14 from last build).
My question is what should i do? I'm looking for the BEST possible cooling solution out of the two.
Sound is not much of an issue.
Should I either return my h60i and pay more for a h100 or use my d14 again and cut my losses.

Thank you.

The D14 will absolutely destroy a H60 in performance, as you are seeing. It's an amazing cooler.

As for whether or not to upgrade to an H100i, for me personally it's a matter of aesthetics. If you have an open case and care about looks, I prefer the H100i. If I'm building in a closed case however, I almost always go with an air cooler, and the D14/D15 are at the top of the food chain. They perform in the same arena, but the D14/D15 is much quieter and usually a little cheaper.

Thank you for you're replay!
Very helpful and that's what my issue is now, my case is closed all the time. I do like the look of liquid cooling when I open it up time to time but as i said I'm looking for the best cooling performance since I am overclocking.
