Hello, I'm in need of advice. I installed my new pny gtx 760 oc on my rig and now every time I try to play a graphic heavy game it crashes.

After some Google searches I think my power supply may be the culprit: coolmax v 600.

Cpu: i5 - 2500k
gpu: pny gtx 760 enthusiast edition
ram: 8g

I've tried reinstalling the drivers already and I can play games like dota 2 and league fine.

It's about 3 years old. Thanks for the reply. I've read some threads that people checked the rail rating or something like that on the supply and they are very inadequate. Not sure how to read that.

Define Budget Friendly...$100 for a quality PSU is fairly well priced.

You can get one with lower 80+ Ratings and Non-Modular, probably drop the price to around $60. But over time you will pay more in electric bill (if you use your PC a lot) as it is not as efficient. Also, the modular design allows you to keep your extra cables out of your system allowing more air flow and cooler temps.

This one is only $39.99 after Mail-in-Rebates: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

Modular PSU allow you to only use the cables you need. The Modular PSU's have power ports on the PSU and detachable cables, this way you don't clutter your case with un-used power cables.

Non-Modular PSU is the older/standard style of PSU where all the cables are connected to the PSU. So if you don't have a use for a power connection, the cable just stays floating in your case un-used.

Here is a decent example of the differences: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/09/Modular_vs_non-modular_PSU.JPG
