Hi i like creating thinks just to kill some time. I have acess to huge amounts of copper from wires ( 1-3 mm ). So how good are wires in conducting heat compared to copper tubes and can they be used for heatsink?

Copper wires, NO!

There is much more going on with copper heat pipe coolers than plain raw copper tubing.

The designs today are much more advanced than when they first arrived on the scene, with various methods used to create the capillary wicking action to accomplish the hot/cold transfer.

Copper tubes also dissipate heat more efficiently than wires as they have a larger surface area exposed to the air
