Coprocessors — the future?

Hey, I have a not so simple question that I've kind of divided into chunks. Anyway, I've been checking out co processors lately and I thought hell yea, super intense workloads won't run all that great on a 4790k.

So my question is, would it be worth it if I buy a co processor in the future? And are there cheaper ones, because I can't in any way afford a Xeon Phi.

The other part of my question is would a coprocessor compat with my 4790k on an MSI Z97 Gaming 5?

This is just a broad idea, I thought I'd consider buying one in the future if I ever got the money to.

Thanks

If you have a 4790k you are not in the market for a coprocessor. Yes they are helpful in specific high end work loads, but a normal consumer will not be under said workloads. You cant just throw a Phi in and boost performance, it dosent work like that.
For a normal consumer handing the workload to a graphics card will do the same thing, to a lesser extent.

OK as long as a 4790k paired with an R9 380X will be good in video editing / rendering I'll be fine
