Hello,
After reading through similar cases to mine, I believe what I want to do is copy files from my old HDD into my new PC, which has Windows 10, an SDD, and an HDD. I understand I will have to install programs onto the new HDD. If it matters I assume Windows is on the SDD, but I can't be sure since I do not have the PC yet.
My question is, is the process of copying files onto my new HDD as simple as booting up the PC with my old HDD attached, and dragging & dropping?
2 things worry me about trying the above:
First, the old HDD has Windows 10 as well, but I'm hoping boot priority will make this a non-issue.
My bigger worry is accessing the files on the old HDD. Are there any additional steps needed to access files on the old HDD while using the new PC that I am unaware of?
Thank you for your time.
